Tsewang Lhamo , my guide has been indispensable during stay here. I have learned much from her while visiting the various temples and historic sites. She has a very good grasp and Tibetan history and Buddhism and she is very forth caring with the information. Beside has vast knowledge she is also great fun and good company. Having come to Tibet alone, I was very glad for her cheerfulness and looked forward to spending the day with her because of her I can now recognize different Buddha I can describe the wheel of life and I understand what it is people do when they visit temple. I have also learned a few Tibetan words. If I ever return to Tibet I will definitely ask her to be my guide once more. I highly recommend her to anyone coming to Tibet. She has great knowledge and such a fun and happy disposition that any one will fined their stay here enriched ...

Thanks Tenzin for organizing our trip. We really enjoyed our time in Lhasa. Jigmei is a very outgoing young man with a fun personality. He tried very hard to make sure we were happy. Please encourage him to keep working on his English and learn as much as possible about the holy and historical places. Our only disappointment was when Jigmei did not understand our questions or did not know the answer to our questions. We really liked the young woman who came with us on our first day. Her English was very good and she knew the answers to our many questions. If she did not know the answer, she asked a monk and then told us in English what the monk said. Also, if she did not understand our question, she kept trying to understand until she did. We really liked how she helped us that way. Finally, we liked all three drivers that we had. We had a brilliant week in Tibet with the destination of Everest Base Camp. Our Guide, Wangdu was the most amazing, honest, kind guide you could ever wish for. Being a Tibetan, he had family stories to retell about his life as a nomad when he was younger. His English was fluent and he was very flexible with what we wanted. He was the best guide we have ever had in 13 years of traveling. Our driver was great too. His name was Tsenor (Tinor). He was a very safe driver and had a great laugh on him! Continue reading...My husband and I had wanted to travel to Tibet for many years. Finally, we found time in our schedule that allowed us to go. We contacted many travel agencies before we decided to go with Tibet Highland Tours. THT is Tibetan owned and staffed, which was important to us. We wanted to make sure that our tourism money went directly to the Tibetan people. THT offered us a great price on an overland journey to Shigatse, Everest and the Nepal border. They answered all of our emails quickly, gave us advice on our itinerary and gave us complete freedom regarding the places we wanted to go.
